Spot-Coating Technology
Foresight’s spot-coating technology achieves highly uniform dot deposition by precisely controlling each PVDF coating dot’s size, shape, height, and spacing, forming a perfectly aligned dot-matrix pattern on the separator surface to significantly enhance coating consistency.
Compared with conventional spraying — which often results in random distribution and localized buildup — this innovation achieves accurate, controlled dot placement, effectively mitigating lithium dendrite growth risks and substantially improving battery safety. It marks a true leap forward in coating performance:
- Adhesion and conductivity increased by 2–3×
- Slurry usage reduced by 50–80%
- Oven energy consumption reduced by over 50%
This technology has obtained multiple invention patents and completed global patent layout.
Air-Floatation Oven System
Foresight’s self-developed air-floatation oven system adopts a non-contact drying structure, allowing film materials to be suspended and conveyed by airflow, effectively avoiding surface contact contamination or scratches. Compared with traditional drying methods, it offers three key advantages:
- Higher yield: Non-contact drying prevents contamination and ensures consistent quality
- More energy-efficient: High thermal-mass efficiency shortens oven length and reduces energy consumption
- Greater reliability: No moving mechanical parts, minimizing maintenance cost and operational risk
